It is a 100% natural probiotic yoghurt-drink, with a refreshing creamy taste. It is the ancient beverage of the people from the Caucasus Mountains, who attributed their long healthy lives to traditional (raw) kefir. Each bottle naturally contains billions of the following: Bifidobacterium, Lactobacillus brevis, Lactobacillus paracasei, Lactococcus lactis and Saccharomyces cerevisiae. It is produced in the traditional way in small batches, fermenting fresh camel milk with living kefir cultures. It is free from added sugar and preservatives. A slight fizz is the yeast producing CO2, which is a natural feature of traditional kefir. The name Kefir comes from the Turkish word 'Keif' meaning 'good feeling' for the sense of well being experienced after drinking it.
